During the game on Tuesday against Preston I turned to my brother and asked "Where's Kevin Davies? Is he on the bench?"

The answer was no.  And, he wasnt.

I then today read he is currently a free agent.

A Sheffield / local lad, could you imagine him up top with Derbyshire? Is he good enough.  For Mr. Evans seemingly regular preference of "Hoofball", maybe worth some consideration? End of the season deal?

Not for me.

He was a passenger at PNE .

we might benefit from his hold up play but so would PNE.

No, not for me either.

He was a good striker/finisher in his heyday but I think he's past his best now.

Got to agree Tony. Would like to see a striker with pace up there with Derbyshire who by the way i do like, just he's not the quickest. Someone perhaps that we already have. Say JCH

As the title of another says. B'Jesus - No!

I'll think we are well and truly going backwards. We've got the players, just not the 'system' and much of that is down to the arrogance of management I suspect. I've never been in the you'll play my way camp. You assess your resources and utilise them in a way that is most productive. Unless you're McDonalds

We have a striker within the squad. Jch is not a bad player. Just needs to change his mental attitude. He came on and lifted the whole stadium. Can't see KD doing this, he would be quite pedestrian in comparison.
