Mmmm, down to interpretation I suppose, I saw it as "1 up front, gimme a break", at home against a team who would always come and try and get a 0-0 or sneak a goal (they did exactly that at MK the Sat before).

Omitted is 'we didn't deserve to win', and 'the lads are really down', pointing to a stifling mentality that resulted in not 1 shot on target.

Look, last season every point mattered, we knew that, but do we really have to be subjected to that again this season, where we're in utter fear of what's in front of us at home? If we're doing that we really have learned nothing, and it speaks volumes (again) about the recruitment.

A 3-2 loss at home means entertainment, entertainment means crowds, we don't expect to win a lot, just the required 15 to stay up. But lets go about it going for the jugular (at home), goals even in a loss breeds player confidence. Constant 1 goal here or there and a multitude of no goals, worse no shots on target does not. In the end people want to be entertained, I'm sure TS doesn't want to see our stadium half full enduring yet another 95 minutes of tedium, bizarre tactics and head scratching substitutions. We also don't need to see the players in training to know what we're talking about. UEFA badges do not give you a divine knowledge, experience does of watching football.

Ex, looking back on the experience of winning should also be one of them, SE is not harking back to how we used to win matches, hard work determination, good substitutions as well.

One down side is Green, he has lost it im afraid, but he had a similar start last season.

Midfield needs an overhaul, Smallwood is getting into trouble because he is working with a totally new back 4 ( trust not there yet) and lack of pace with other members of midfield, thank goodness Newall is there mopping up alongside.

Yes, I m not entirely sure the spirit of the Interview on Millers Player has been reflected.

That being said, it would be a lie to say Derbyshire didnt say the things in print.

What I think would have been accurate and consistent is to say something like,

'Derbyshire clearly was frustrated with his efforts in an unfamiliar and unnatural position of lone striker and the performance in general --due to a lack of desire and fitness--, but curtails his criticism because he also believes in team ethics and respects the position of a manager'.

But we all know that dont we.

Paul, its Jeremy Corbyn here, Thanks for the tabloid journalism, lol.
