Whatever happened to quality additions and not just quantity in relation to our current squad?

RK - neither do I, if there was anybody any good out there, they would have been snapped up, it would take a lot for a youngster to make an impact in this division.

Any exceptional individual would not come to RUFC, unless its part of SE's Man Utd connection again.

Waste of time bringing in another youngster on loan. Not what we need right now in my opinion. We need a striker but a seasoned professional who can cope with Championship football. Look what happened to John Swift last season and he was Chelsea's U 21 captain.

Tom Lawrence wasn't great when he was here last season and looked lost when he came to NYS with Leicester a few weeks back.

Another young striker on loan would be a gamble and one we needn't take if SE's claims that we have money to spend if we wish is true. Surely SE can see what us unknowledgeable fans see, that we need more firepower up front?

I said it last season and the problem is still there we don't have a striker who can score enough goaLos , if we go one down it will take a gigantic effort to score two and win the game it won't happen very often with this lot .

we should have invested in a proven goal scorer and paid his asking price in wages than signing on 11 or more and paying out just as much if not more in wages when they look like if you blended Derbyshire , Bowery , Jch and ward together you chill couldn't get 15 goals between them .

if it turns out to be Lawrence I don't think he is quite what we need right now as we are only two games in and are already in a relegation battle .

anybody got tony cunninghams phone number he might be free at the moment 😉

Bob on Axholme, every young player that comes to us comes with great fanfare. If however the have a bad 45 mins they disappear never to be seen again. The players you mention are just the tip, even the young guys we sign for massive fees not given a chance. Any home grown youth let go. You will only get a start in this side with "championship experience"  no

Looks like Lawrence is a strong bet on this one.

I must say I thought he did well for us and liked how he ran in and out of the line with decent link up play. He is quite direct too from what I remember when he gets into position.

Id be happy to see him push for a place in the team.
