you may remember this Bonus feature from week 10 as a celebration of 10 completed fixtures:
Please place any predictions (below) by the end of week 11 of who will be top (1st) and who will be flop (last) by the end of round 20 for an extra bonus of 10 per correct guess (maximum of 20 points).
N.B. not including the current bottom two who were sadly kidnapped by wednesday fans and currently are enduring horrendous torture in their glass cage suspended over leppings lane, where they unfortunately have had their eyes super glued open and have to endure each and every game at hillsbrough this season. Im sorry but we will not be negotiating with piggies.
The only person to correctly guess who would be top is Oneaday. He rather bashfully picked himself and like the true winner he is, he was correct.
Now, almost everyone else predicted PIDG, but as you can see Smiler is currently bottom with Nez , just this last week eclipsing the total of PIDG.
If we look at the original clause above we see that Flicker and Heman had been excluded as they had not , at that time posted since week one. However, there is no mention of new teams joining and when I wrote it , if I am being 100 honest, I did not make a provision for it.
I am minded to award bottom place to Smiler but, I also realise he was not in the original list.
so, what is the correct course.
The language says " predict who will be bottom excluding flicker and Heman".
The spirit says another thing.
Am I being somewhat stupid here?
I can only hand it over to the league for a majority vote.
Oneday hangs on by a thread as one time table topper, S8, comes up on his shoulder.
Ian , does an Exeter, and continues to tumble like a crazeee clown.
TLA, maintain good recent form and are within touching distance of the top 4 and europe.
Smiler, has another good week-can he catch the pack with 20 games to go?
Andy, lets, his team down, the league, his mum, and his dog, the sponsors and fans, but most of all, he has let himself down. Surely, a response can be expected...

Loads of time. What would rankle me is if those missed weeks actually might have been significant. Comfortably top or uncomfortably bottom will do me (latter seems most likely!)
If anyone doubted the impact of the league look no further than the contrite confessions of Andy Monium-leader of a ragbag but proud band of also-rans. He has asked for forgiveness from the fans and has duly received support and much needed hugs. One fan wrote to the league hierarchy this week pleading for understanding. I wont reprint the whole letter here, but it went into some detail about some personal-and the league should state, 'off the pitch' activities that while not illegal have certainly contributed to the lack of discipline we have witnessed recently. The league provides sympathetic and anonymous counselling for all addicts. However unseemly personal behaviour is, we should not stand in judgement. We all look forward to a return to form and socially acceptable behaviour.
Congratulations However are due to Oneaday who has systematically destroyed everyone and grappled his way to the top. Now his ferocious team of semi-pros have the summit, who will depose him! Many in the industry predict a long and intolerable stay at the top. Also, big mover (not a euphemism) TLA deserves recognition for an equally impressive run of results.
Smiler, continues to score well above average and according to my seismometer- that I place on a schematic of the league table that I keep under my pillow-each night, huge movements and aftershocks have been detected for some time to come. Watch for a huge eruption around mid March.
Thank you Ian for your work in this, breaks up our monotonous week and diverts our attention when the lads play away.
On another note, be prepared for more home disappointment against Charlton, when me and the 2 little ones will be partaking another weekend flash visit taking in the millers, steelers and 8 hours of motorway fun
Well said Ex and good work Ian. As a newcomer to the League Ian I enjoy playing every week but have no idea how the points work. If it isn't too much trouble, could I ask for a quick idiots guide? Feel free to reference my own score for the last week to illustrate if you like. Sorry to ask.
Thanks Ian. I guessed the 10 and
5 pts but had no idea what you got 2 for. I will now check all my scores and post at about 3 in the morning with any corrections! This season is a run out for me after a false start, but I am trying to get a squad together that can do something next season.
In a passionate and defiant call for optimism the table is red and white and will remain so for the rest of the season.
Oneaday maintains a very healthy lead.
Movers this week are Smiler, who joins the dirty dozen, MMM, who leaps 2 places and TLA does enough to make one more step towards the summit and Ian pips Unifier to the Bronze medal.
