Where are we?

Still in denial I suspect.  Two six-pointer relegation games lost, a management team out of their depth and an owner who can't or won't address the necessary level of investment.  This will remain an unpopular and derided view for another month or two.

Watched MK today, they were absolute tosh, clueless in the final 3rd and flat refused to commit bodies, even when Preston went to 10. Preston were more solid but toothless too. Forest were there for the taking especially going 1 up, but we can't even see a half out. Roos sounded like he had a mare again, how long can we carry him for? He's clearly like the proverbial Rabbit. Gonna be a loooooooooong old season again, can't score and can't keep the ball out

To the OP, maybe you're right, i am sure that the two teams we have lost to will be struggling, and yeh, we should've done much better, particularly in that first game, but we've a completely new backline, and that has got to be given a little time to bed in, i've been today and we looked pretty solid, their goal right at the end of the frst half took the wind out of us. What disappointed me was our inability to press in the second half, we kind of conceded the ground and momentum to them, but we're not ta far off being a decent team, we need the rub of the green, a bit more effort and less stick from fickle fans who quite frankly aint got a clue.

Where are we? Bottom of the league & we'd better get comfortable, as we won't be moving any time soon.
Evans will be gone by Christmas!!

roos didn't have a mare he made one mistake, he had a simple tap over the crossbar for the cross he tried to catch it, he also made 4 top quality saves as well. I sat in the BC stand top tier you get a great view not behind the goal where you see naff all. He did better, the ref was terrible in the 2nd half, he hot swayed by Antonio mouthing off all the first half and his constant diving, wonderful player but lazy and moans a lot.

Im sorry but i have to agree with Ridge in a way. I think our owner TS does not have the football knowladge or balls to stand up to SE. Im not knocking him for what he has done for MY football club but think he needs to now bring in a non executive "football" advisor to the board. SE has had his own way and blagged him enough.

Millmoor, the back 4 are all professionals with "experiance" last 2 games ( SE dropped the young talent). What we need to do with Green is drop him like a hot potato, no pace, no passing, no ambition, he WAS a good player 5 years ago but never an attacking option we have far better, younger players in his position. Also effort alone will not win a football match at this level.

We have some good players in this minimal squad BUT, BUT, BUT they need to be played in position and not given 45 mins only to prove their worth, we've been there n f'd that up before. Leave that to your memories to figure which of the dozen or so players i refer to.

Long balls to Derbyshire for the rest of the season will not suffice. I like Derbyshire but he's more of a provider than a goalscorer. He needs to be played alongside a goal getter, one that score's the majority of times he is played. Like perhaps 2 of our current squad, Bowery has scored in i think 8 out of 10 "starts" or ( tin hat on head down in the trench ) JCH, cant arguee wuth his goals per game ratio.

Any way that's what I think. On "the other site" i would now be open to public execution. What do you guys think ?

Picking up on what Derbymiller says, anyone else notice that our bench gets in the refs face but the captain never does. Most of the opposition captains are like limpets with a foghorn attached to the ref.

Maybe with SE's reputation, though he did tone it down end of last year, is why we get treat as we do. SE sit down some and give the captain on the field a go. SE can not run the game minute by minute lets the boys have some head.

I retract mare was wrong. Looked like he made the saves he needed to make, I wouldn't say they were special. GK mistakes cost goals and ok we're a bit unfortunate how it hits the top of the bar but what is he thinking with it? He needs to believe in himself more, if he got a billy big balls attitude he's got the making of a good keeper, but we all know without self confidence GKs are nothing but a liability. We need a clean sheet Tuesday with him being instrumental in that, its the only way he'll pull himself up and in turn give his defenders confidence who look half scared every time something comes near our goal.

I mean, I was gutted last saturday. It still ranks as one of the worst performances I can remember and certainly as bad as anything I have seen at NYS.

Sure, we have had a few mares at NYS, but the total lack of organisation, tactics and worse than all of that the heads down lack of care was frightening. The same thing happened at Forest after we conceded.

I think thats where we are at.

I trust SE has the ability to turn it around but he will have to move out a hand full of players again this season.

We seem to be going backwards. Current team looks poorer than last season, which looked loads poorer than the one who won promotion to this Championship.Preston fans predicting revenge for their play off defeat tomorrow evening and who can blame them.

I don't think the team is poorer than last year, in fact it's much stronger.

The players are taking time to play together but it will come...a win tomorrow and everything changes..the sun comes out, we all start smiling and everything is well with the world.

I can tell you exactly where we are, a division too high. We have a division one budget trying to compete in the championship. We neither have the sponsorship ,crowd size or Russian owners to finance the 10 million we need to push on. So the best thing you can do is get use to moaning about the manager who doesn't have the tools to do the job but has to get all the rejected and released players on free transfers. You can winge at the chairman for not bankrupting himself. You can abuse the players who may have not quite got the quality required. So you have eight months now to be utterly miserable. The good news is that should the worse happen and believe it or not we have only played two yes two games then next season we can regroup and go for promotion then everyone we be all smiles. Me... I'm going to enjoy the season and cheer on my team. I may not even winge when they ask for a full £13 for or cup game or whatever they charge. So enjoy yourself or not it's your choice but me I'm all smiles, a happy man with a team in the championship and I'm going to enjoy every minute whilst it lasts because I can

I find Flikers assessment refreshing however I have to add that I don't mind the millers losing. I never have. I do mind them not trying.

Last Saturday I felt like after half time I could have put my dockers on and played right back with more gusto and passion than our captain.

We need a captain that makes everyone want to play with the attitude of Kevin Ellison. He would run through a brick wall for the team. Granted he never had the ball at the other side of the rubble-wall but at least he tried.
