I expect a very slow start to the season and fully expect us to lose the first game.MK DONS are a team on the up who know each other well. We have better individual players than last season but it will take time for us to gel.

I think we will finish 8th from bottom and improve as the season goes on.

For those that can't distinguish: this is a football prediction. I can't predict the outcome to one football match let alone a season. it is just a bit of fun making predictions.

This is totally different from my snippets of insider knowledge at RUFC which has I post on here regularly. This is 100% successful. You will not get any wild speculations from me unless the I hear it direct from my source.

There's merit in what you say but  I'm not sure we can afford a slow start.  In the first two months we play six teams that may be involved in a relegation struggle and I feel we really must get some home points on the board early days.

But in true Rotherham United fashion, we dont do things the perceived on paper easy way, we make it hard for ourselves. I expect a funny start, but we'll not be alone in this. Burgler ses 16th, I'm going for 12th injuries permitting

Some of us do have a football brain and could see this defeat happening a mile off.

I think that's why everyone has reacted with such disappointment to the result yesterday as everyone except burglar thought this game was as good a chance we'd get to get off to a positive start and put 3 points on the board. But as we all know footballs a funny old game.

Onwards and upwards
