More from a Seance. You will believe.

You may not be familiar with my past visit to Madam Mimi's and Madam Esme's séance.

To the uninitiated these types of gatherings can be very disturbing and a shock to the soul.

I was recently invited to another meeting in the same place somewhere high up on the Yorkshire Moors.

I still had to endure the ritual whereby I had to park my car on the side of a poorly lit road somewhere near to Dalby Forest.

It was there that I was greeted by a young man and  woman. The latter proceeded to place a blindfold over my eyes.

With the blindfold in place I was led by the arm to another vehicle which carried me to Madam Esme's.

After several minutes on the road the car came to a sudden halt. The driver turned off the car engine. I heard my door being

opened and I was helped to my feet by the firm grip of the young man. He held my head down so that it did not connect with

door frame.

Within a few seconds I was led through a door and into Madam Esme's abode. I use the word abode because I do not know to

this day whether she lives in  a cottage or a house.

Once inside the hallway my blindfold was removed by the young woman. The lighting was subdued so my eyes soon became accustomed to the surroundings.

The young woman then proceeded to open the parlour door. She beckoned me to follow her into the room.

There was a small fire burning in the grate.

I turned my gaze and saw Madam Esme sitting at a blue velvet covered round table. The sapphires on her necklace sparkled in

the firelight.

By her side sat her companion Madam Mimi. Madam Mimi preferred to wear a Whitby jet necklace.

They both smiled and appeared very pleased to see me again.

'Welcome, Andy. How are you?' said Madam Esme.

'Very well, thank you, Madam Esme.' I replied. 'It is so nice to be invited back to another seance.'

'Would you like a drink, Andy?' asked Madam Esme.

'Yes, I'd like a spritzer. Thank you'. I replied.

It was at this point Madam Esme turned to the silent young man and ordered the drinks.

The young man left the room.

'Strange goings on in the South Yorkshire, Andy?' said Madam Mimi.

'In what way, Madam Mimi? I am puzzled.'

'Can you enlighten me further.' I asked.

Madam Mimi turned to Madam Esme. Madam Esme nodded her approval for Madam Mimi to continue.

It was at this point Madam Mimi turned her gaze in my direction.

She proceeded to tell me a most disturbing story.

I will reveal all in the next few days.

To be continued.........

More from a Seance continued......

Madam Mimi's dark brown eyes glistened in the firelight. They were of a strange hue. I had never seen eyes like them before or

since.

She told me of an impending source of unrest in South Yorkshire. It concerned a large building which was currently at the

planning stage. The building would be of great significance.

I asked her for more details. She told me that she did not want me to attract unwanted attention and be sued for libel. She

suddenly stopped talking. She turned to Madam Esme.

Madam Esme began to talk. She too said that she did not want me to attract unnecessary attention.

Somehow I felt let down. I had travelled all this way to be given cryptic clues.

Just then the young man entered the room. He was carrying a tray of drinks. He placed the tray on a side table which was

situated next to the large round table. He then picked up each drink and handed them to the present company.

I took a sip of my white wine spritzer. It was Muscadet. That is one of my favourite wines.

After a few seconds I asked Madam Esme about tonight's seance.

'That will take place in a short while, Andy. But first let me introduce you to Alain and Helene ,' she said.

'They are brother and sister,' she added.

I immediately stood up and shook hands with the two young people.

'And so, Andy, around the table for tonight's seance there will be myself, Madam Mimi, Alain, Helene, Emmanuel and your very

good self.' Madam Esme announced.

Emmanuel produced two candleholders and placed them two feet apart in the centre of the round table. The candles were lit.

The room lights were switched off by Alain.

Then the company took their seats around the table.

We then proceeded to join hands. We were asked to close our eyes and stay silent throughout the seance.

I heard Madam Esme taking several deep breaths. Her voice began to change. It was if another person was now sat at the

table. This was not unusual at a seance.

The voice began to speak.

I wondered what was going to be revealed?

More from the Seance.

I know it wasn't Madam Esme speaking now. Her once shrill and refined voice had changed into a man's deep voice.

The voice then began to speak.

'I speak to you from a place that is without time, a place where there is forever light. The damned light that never goes out. My

name is of no consequence.

I have a message for the one that calls himself Andy Monium.'

I now began to listen intently.

The voice continued. ' Tell Andy to beware of false prophets. They will come calling with knowledge that will astonish and

astound any unsuspecting audience. Don't fall for this banter. The one that is called 'The Third Burglar'. Yes, the one  full of

boundless wit.

You may never be able to cast a spell on 'The Third Burglar'. It may backfire on you . Then you could be in the mire.'

Another pause then the deep voice began to growl the following words.

'As for success on the football field. Followers of the ones called The Mighty Millers will gather in their thousands.

The Temple will be full on many occasions. Many will be turned away.'

Then the deep voice began to moan as if in great pain. ' That damned light. Will no-one put out its fire!'

At this point Madam Esme began to breath very deeply. There was a long pause. I opened my eyes to see that her head was moving from side to side. Her eyes were glazed over. Her head sank downward on to her chest. There was silence. After a few seconds she looked up and opened her eyes. She appeared to be relieved. She looked in my direction and simply smiled.

I tried catching her out last night when she was frying a pan of chips, 'Whats for supper Madam Esme?' ..... she didn't flinch, but then again
Towdlass is a canny old bird and not easy to put one over, but I'm watching her every move now.

Sorry you guys. I'm busy working on the next episode but my neighbour has been having a few problems with her drains. I've been rodding them on and off for a few days now. Heavy rain has been forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Have you had a camera in?  Random rodding can cause more problems and I'd always have a look first.
