Nigel Pearson had no idea he would be sacked by Leicester and was shocked by their decision, Sky sources understand.

The Midlands club announced late on Tuesday night that they had disposed of the 51-year-old despite him saving the club from relegation to the Championship.

Leicester cited a "breakdown in relations" between Pearson and the board but, despite being involved in a string of controversial incidents on and off the pitch last season, Pearson had no idea relations had broken down to such an extent.

That is what happens in football in afraid, His bank balance wont be affected though will it.

Will he get a job elsewhere, i cant see why not, but he needs to sort his post match interviews out - he is as boring as watching paint drying.

He did well to keep them up, to be fair his behaviour at times was bordering on the unhinged.

Here is my view, which is pure idle speculation...

He works for a powerful thai company that place public opinion and shows of decent behaviour high on their agenda.

pearson was allowed to keep his job till the end of the season because they are also pragmatic, but knew they would be moving him on.

The incident with his son was coincidental but no doubt helpful for any that were wavering.
