Heads Up: Just checked the East coast trains website and if you go to London via Doncaster they have a limited of advance fares for the 12/9, currently at £27.65 return, they wont last.
Railcard get 1/3rd off the above
Current day return is standing at well over £70!!!
East Midlands trains advance fares wont show until tomorrow, so will check after i have run the Malvern 1/2 Marathon.
Let me know if anybody needs help from other points in the UK.
Thanks for the tip Worcester Miller. Don't usually bother with trains but will consider at that price. Gonna have a look. Cheaper than diesel for the car that...just. Thinking of combining Charlton & Brighton (following Tues) so might take car. Can you get open returns cheap ?
I find trains such a hassle. Even finding tickets at decent price is so chuffin complicated and time consuming. That's why I don't even bother looking at the option, unless its a local game. I hate queues and I hate hassle & unnecessary hassle ! one of my many weaknesses ..... is patience ! Lack of....., when it comes to admin / silly rules / exploitative convoluted procedures for profit. GRRRRR !
