Dene Brook was the start off point for an evenings entertainment - sometimes we didn't get any further than that.

Unusually for a lad from Kimmy Park I drank in either the Keppel or The Drawbridge out of town. In town it was the Charter Arms , Turf or Cross Keys

I never drank as a young man. In fact, my first pint was when I was 26.

Can anyone beat that.

Seems strange. Perhaps I'm from a little known tribe.

You're right, it was a new beginning.

 Got divorced the year before.

Fell in love for the first time the year after.

Moved away from Rothetham for good.

Had a pint!

 You could say that.

Funny thing was, I was pretty wrapped up in the church before the happenings that led to my divorce, so, it was kinda born again, again.

😇😈

All for light, but we all need help seeing it.

We often swap one for another.

The important thing is that it is indeed free and any obligations are freely taken on and do not harm others.

Mail Coach for me.

The female variety were a little bit nicer than birds in Falstaff.

Home pub Travellers Inn on old Cowley Hill on way from Thorpe Hesley to Chapeltown, great pub when Ted and Masie had it.
Me and the lads have been known to sleep in the tap room after having too much. In town Prince of Wales in Masbrough, especially when Tony Zammito was landlord. For those who knew Tony, sad to say he passed away earlier this year at his home in North Yorkshire. Some of you may remember him from his time at the Marquis.

Horse and Jockey at the minute. I've got thirsty after cycling and walking to friendly match against Parkgate.
Friendly pub.
