Nigel Clough was an average manager at Derby County so they got rid.

Same again at Sheffield United.

The Blades fans I talk to tell me Clough was taking them nowhere.

Should he have been given another season? Perhaps so but we all know it`s the end result what counts and that result shows  the

Blades will be in League 1 for a 5th consecutive season.

Warburton or Gus Poyet would be a decent enough choice of manager.

Strangely enough clough still had a 68% approval rating after the play off semis.

Looking at his teams and personality they are hardly inspiring for a sports fan.

Would Warburton be able to cut it for the Blades?

Prefer Hovis myself.

Mathew Benham chairman and professional gambler runs the show  at Brentford.

Benham picks the players that should be signed, played etc. That`s why Warburton walked away from the job.

The Blades job is a poisoned chalice.Eight or nine managers in 9 years.

Micky Adams,Danny Wilson,David tippy tappy Weir and Nigel Clough.

Out of that lot Clough actually has the best % stats.

Gus Poyet may be amongst the top three targets that is if Poyet will be prepared to manage in League 1.

Can never understand why Steve Evans gets so much undeserved flak given the record he`s got.

Another season of struggle for the Blades I think.
