Thankfully the young lad is ok and got visits and presents from the team, plus a day off school.

Couldnt entirely see it from where I was but it looked like a shove on Laffety.

Id be suing the bar-steward.

Great news, been wondering about the lad today.

Looks like the club have looked after him well, with Danny Lafferty giving him his match boots and visits from others, and he's receiving Physio from Aidy Littlejohn.....well done RUFC....wonder if Gunter (The Reading player) or anybody from Reading have been in touch to ask about his welfare.

What actually happened?

Danny Lafferty running the ball out of play at the North East corner of the pitch, Gunter chasing him down, forcefully pushed him over the touchline sending Danny flying over the advertising hoardings.....the young ballboy who plays with our under 13's academy team was sat on a stool in front of the hoardings and Lafferty (obviously accidently) clattered into the lad and damaged his knee in the fall.

Danny thankfully was up and running pretty quickly, but the young lad needed several minutes assistance from the medical team and was eventually stretchered off to a standing ovation from our fans.

Gunter escaped the incident with a ticking off from the Ref, but Matty Derbyshire got booked much later for walking off slowly when subbed. nononono

I remember years ago when a ball boy was bent down in front of the Tivoli wall and a deflected shot hit the lad on the head and his head then hit the wall. Des Hazel came over as the lad looked in a bad way, just picked up the ball and took a quick and crap corner. You have to worry, glad the ball boy is doing well.
