Nostradamus Millers Banter Fixtures for Monday 6th-Tuesday 7th April

Half of the league choose to not take the risk with last weeks Joker. I was impressed with your steal and determination to play it straight and not get caught up in such frivolous behaviour-Predicting is such serious business after all and more scientific than instinct...how wrong you were nobiggrin

Still, it could have been so much different.

This weeks theme is redemption. There isnt a poem, a story, a film or a relationship over the whole of time that does not present to us the idea of deliverance, a second chance, renewal, transformation.

Indeed, without it life would be nothing like it is. In fact, Football (as Ive said before) mirrors life. On the brink, the cusp and near the end, the ability to mesmerise with a twist of fortune brings millions to tears every day. Our very own Beloved Millers are caught in such a drama and we with them. What can we do to help?

One of the most beautiful stories is of Orfeo ed Euridice.

It is a lovely piece of music and tells the story of loves decent into hades. Orfeo has suffered the loss of his true love and to rescue her he must decend through all the hells and if he finds her he must not look at her, or talk to her, until they are back on earth. Euridice, takes this to mean he has been unfaithful while she has been dead and no longer loves her. As they ascend together she is tormented and eventually she losers all her strength and cannot go any further with him and would prefer to be dead rather than suffer without his love. Orfeo cant bear to see her suffer and in a moment of madness turns to her only to see her perish. The story ends with a second redemption.

Love like Death is the things most want power over. Whether its a scientist, a Doctor, or, a sorcerer, the relentless drive towards redemption and everlasting love, healing and life is in every being.

This weeks Joker then is none other than the 'lovers'. This Joker not only works on a score draw, but has the power to transform . Place it next to any game and if that game ends in a draw regardless of your prediction you receive 10 extra points-basically 2 ways to win. Because true love is without regret their is no forfeit. However, just like love you will notice how much confusion it brings trying to decide where to place it.

Good Luck!

A decent week for all with high scores this week.

There were a number of beneficiaries of 'The Lovers' and hopefully love will find the rest of us soon.

There seems to always be one result that everyone scores zero on and this week was no exception with the game, cardiff v Bolton, throwing many all of the scent.

Here are the scores for this week.

Unifier 71
Ian 70
Millmore Magic 51
Towd Codger 51
Nez The Miller 49
One Kevin Kilmore 49
Andy Monium 47

NR: Exeter, Flicker.

Eyes down for friday and saturday boys and girls.

Pity I went camping and missed 2 fixtures in March, no hotspots available to send my predictions.

keep it up and you could yet challenge.

if not, you can pretend by averaging the weekly score and see where that takes you, I know I would, lol.
