Brilliant find this. I was there that day (still got the prog) but can't remember the pitch being that bad. Great pics of Ronnie, Seasman, Fern, Mullen, & even Henson!!!

Wow, how on earth did you find that Ian, it's brilliant and I can't recall ever seeing those photos before, so a great big thank you!   biggrin

 

I was also there and I was in that stand with the iron steps leading down to that "pedestrian" area where the tea-bar was and the toilets, in fact, I remember spending most of the game stood down there instead of being sat in the stand, but I can't see myself on any of the photos unfortunately!

 

Ahhh, great days even if we were visiting some really run down stadiums, it all added to the atmosphere!   smile

I was also at Sealand Road in March 1979 for a Wednesday night game, another 1-0 win for the Millers, made memorable to me for the fact that the Rileys coach I was on broke down in Chester's car park after the game & they had to ring back for a replacement, eventually getting back in Rotherham about 7am!!
