Well played boys

Went to the game tonight and genuinely thought we were the better team. We passed well probed and battled but just couldn't finnish, unfortunately they could. We hit the inside of the post had their keeper make a wonder save and we missed various other chances. Forest also had a couple of wide efforts. Full backs got forward well and gave us genuin width. Play like that for the last few games I will be a happy man watching championship football next season.

You said it Fliker, we couldn't finish, & that could well mean League 1 next season. I for one am sick to death of "we were the better team", "we were magnificent" etc after another DEFEAT!!!

 Good to hear.

Had to cancel going at last minute so glad to hear it was a decent performance.

Hopefully evo took the boys off he could and they are fresh for another massive test that we dare not lose as I think wigan have a good chance of a result against bolton.

I'm thinking we gave a chance now but still need to rely on wigan messing up as much as bagging another 6 points somewhere.

If we are playing well than that is encouraging, we should get enough points as long as we play well.

I agree with flicker we played well and passed them off the park in the first half, but then we saw the difference in the two teams. They could finish we couldn't it has been our problem all season and is the main reason why we are where we are in the league. Given both our transfer and wage budget there are no easy answers to the problem. I think we can stay in the Championship but in the long term we need to develop a youth system that brings players through into the first team. In the meantime we may have to spend some money on bringing in young development prospects like Johnson Clarke-Harris to give the youth development programme a kick start.
