Goalkeeper and those central freekicks

Just seen them on FLS repeat.

Surely he should have done better than he did?..ie he didn't do anything with either.

I have to agree.

Of course they were peachy but he needed to set up his wall better.

The first free kick I've already said should have had a more active wall. Collin cant be faulted much for the first as he set the wall correctly.

The second one he set the wall and then stood centrally., yet, he failed to see the ball and so did not move. In my book that's the fault of the keeper. He sets the wall that side and one presumes he can see the kicker. The ball has to do diagonally and hence appear in his eye- line. Poor keeping in that respect.

Maybe he should have considered a man on each post and not worried about offsides. To be honest they were top draw free kicks but he froze.

He could have done nothing with either of them, just accept that they were well taken free kicks. Only grumble is the awarding of the first one, an appalling dive that everybody in the ground saw apart from the ref.
