2 players in our most vulnerable area brought in from the cold hours before the game. One never featured for his club and the Other only one start all season.
What on earth do we make of it?
If that was not the equivalent of staking your house and savings on the spin of a wheel...
But, was it just desperation. Did Evo look at what he had and think we are on a hiding to nothing here. His choice was clear. Do something unusual and risk it all, or stick with what we have and surely get beat (no green, morgan, or, ward, and a poor performing defence).
The new players and more to the point the new system worked a treat. Arnie, looked comfortable and influential and Broadfoot didnt do anything wrong. In fact, the team played as a team. No one to single out though Smallwood again was tireless and focused.
Go figure!

4 changes from the sterting lineup v Cardiff, 2 loan players in, which one was a LB with little game time the other a teenage CB who arrived hours before kickoff!
Yep, who'd have given us any chance when the team sheets were out before kickoff?
If you try and figure football and SE out you would go round the bend.....
