Steve evans confirms the player he's been after has said no (or the club has).

 

2 weeks left and back to the drawing board.

Club might have to dig deeper into the coffers to attract the quality of defender who could keep us in the Championship.

 If relegation is avoided then it will be well worth digging a little deeper just to secure the financial benefits of Championship Football once again.

It will be interesting when the accounts come out but I suspect we will have made a loss.

However, we are at least a player short at the moment and the way things have worked out we didn't have enough cover for any defensive position.

Have we cut our cloth to fine?
