I thought his first performance was better than his second and since he has steadily improved.
He still gets caught out of position and could be a little tighter at times, but I like his overall play. I particular like his link up play and he can play a mean ball down the wing that seems to get us on the front foot very often.
What is this humble pie of which you speak Burglar? If I was relying on it to sustain me then I would have starved to death. I want the kid to succeed, I really do but he has limitations and they are costing us goals. I wont go on but he was at fault for the Millwall goal Saturday, far too easliy nudged of the ball by Taylor Fletcher. I'm afraid my opinion is unchanged on the lad.
Five million quid, your having a laugh, in time he will be a reasonable Championship player but never anymore than that. It's probably not his fault that he can't defend as that's the philosophy nowadays. We don't have fullbacks anymore only wing backs. The emphasis is getting forward down the Wing ability to defend comes a very poor second. Fryers is a prime example of this. We have had worse defenders than Fryers but we have also had much better. But anyway all the best Zeki while you are with the Miller's and good luck with your future career.

Tavernier was not the best defender in the world but you could forgive him anything because of his exciting forward play.
Sorry S8 but for me if you are described as a defender you should be able to defend, otherwise we may as well field a whole team of attacking players.Yes I agree with you that Tavs was great going forward but he was a poor defender, Fryers is the same.
Funny how we all see things. I'm sort of a fan of Fryers but I would prefer him to link up more with Pringle. At times he uses the long ball from a deep position and gives it away in the process. He isn't the best defender for me just like Tavs wasn't but I would prefer Tavs any day. I would agree though, he seems to be improving the more match time he gets. If Fryers was worth £5 million at one point, I wonder what Hunt was/is worth. Memory not good these days but I seem to think it was £1 million? I would have Hunt in my team at a stroke and would love us to be able to sign him
Yep! Tavs looks better than fryers right now and Hunt looks better than tavs.
SE has pulled another rabbit out of the hat.
He totally has with this kid Hunt, and i really hope he can pull off his signing permanently, cheaply, like he did with Smallwood, going onto Fryers, i think he's a decent defender to be honest, it's just his distribution of the ball the he's lacking, personally i don't see it as "eating humble pie" to be honest, that's a comment straight from Millersmad, people looking to blame others because of their opinion.
His forward distribution on Saturday was excellent. Getting better every game but room for improvement in allowing people inside him towards goal. Force the player down the wing and even if they get a cross in you have done your job as you have reduced the risk of a goal and increased the chance of the goalkeeper catching the ball.
I kind of agree with all the sentiments on Zeki BUT if he was as good as we would all like him to be he would probably be somewhere else. Also if Tavs was that good how come he couldn,t get a game for Wigan and is now a sub at Bristol most games?.
Possibly Happy, because he made an error of judgement and his financial brain ruled his logic. Having said that, if Tavs had stayed he may have missed the team spirit with so many players leaving etc. He fitted in like a glove for us and worked well with Agard.
