Nice read on a crucial game, I'm just glad we got our rewards for the effort we put in. Now for the Boyo's

Great report Paul!

I would love it (in my Kevin Keegan voice) if they got relegated, or even kicked out of the league after their latest flare up by their "fans"!

I've read on another forum, (can't remember which one but it wasn't Millers related), that apparently the Millwall yobs pick one away game per season where they really "kick off and give it to 'em big style", and Rotherham was the chosen venue mainly because of the child abuse revelations and also because it was a new ground for them! ... lucky us!   no

We've got our fare share of utter tools as well. Their last outing was at Wolves. Also on the many videos I've seen, in all of them you get said neanderthals goading the Millwall fans. We are not entirely innocent in this

True Ex m8 but the Millers fans weren't exactly charging the millwall fans etc.  Some may have reacted but theres a big difference between the millwall s*** and footy fans.

I have to disagree Ex.

I was close to the disturbances throughout the game and I cant say anything other than the Millwall fans are 100% responsible.

Nothing accounts for the reaction of the Millwall mob. If you were in the ground and outside afterwards (which was much worse than the footage ive seen) then you can be in no doubt who the perpetrators are.

When faced with a charging mob where innocents (children, elderly, women, infirm and others who wouldnt even react if they were attacked) are fair game then there is no doubt or excuse.

We cannot lose sight of the fact of who was 100% to blame-those that left their designated areas and tried to get to others with violence and intent both during and after the game.

If youd have seen the kids crying and parents upset you would have no doubt where the sole focus on this should be.

I dont think violence should be minimised and those Millwall fans were the attackers.

Ian is right - it really was that bad. A pensioner threatening a 21 year old woman. If that had escalated I would have had no choice but to assist her. Does that make me a thug? No. It means I stand up for what is right.

And to prove a point, if it was a Rotherham fan going for a Millwall female fan I would still have intervened.

Where is the condemnation from the FA and the Football League, or have I missed it. I expect to see prosecutions eventually and appropriate sentences handed out in the Courts to those responsible. But I also expect to see action taken by the Football authorities, and I mean action not the mouthing of the usual platitudes. Nothing short of a total ban on Millwall fans travelling away. And before anyone says that this is not fair to the majority of Millwall fans, where was the condemnation on their message boards of what went on. I'm fed up of hearing that things have changed since the bad old days of the Seventies and that Millwall fans have changed. The pleadings by the Manager that we are now a community club. Well we have seen the reality both in and outside the New York Stadium on Saturday. A community club that have become apologists for a band of thugs. These were not just a few kids kicking off at a football match but rather an organised band of thugs of all ages.
Am I over reacting? No I don't think so. It is the Football authorities who consistently refuse to take action against this apologist of a football club. Well enough is enough, act now or hang your head in shame.
P.S. I waited a week before posting this to give myself a chance to calm down. This is not a knee jerk reaction, rather it is a heartfelt plea to the authorities to take long overdue action against Millwall.
