My view is that we can't. We continually struggle to get players in. Even this week the Gaffa says that the squad is not complete and he would like a couple of faces in by the weekend, but this doesn't look like it will happen. I would guess that TS hadn't realised just tough the Championship would be in terms of finance.
Hope I'm wrong because without a couple of new faces, preferably a centre back and striker, we will struggle to stay up.
Short term, possibly, long term, not a hope in hell unless we double our revenue to even compete with mid table Championship clubs, basic economics really!!
Brad has it spot on, If we are going to compete with the big boys and establish a strong foothold in the championship we are going to have to make some serious revenue/profit. We can't, bluntly speaking succeed in this league on a shoestring budget.
TS IMO, had the same view that I think the vast majority of us held, Predominately this season was a tester and the primary goal was survival, I do believe though that he has the idea of many profit making ideas to boost up finances, as we have been talking about on the other thread.

Survive this season, regroup and move on. The Millers need to look closely at their recruitment of players for next season and add quality not quantity.
SE has brought in some decent players such as Hunt, Ward and Hamill.
Only Hunt permanent though Andy, i'd love to sign the likes of Hunt on a permanent deal without doubt, hammil well I will make my mind up at the end of the loan deal. I'd like to see the Millers sign Grant Holt if he fully reccovers from the knee injury.
He still sounds like a person who thinks we can build.
All clubs struggle to bring players in and money only goes so far. Look at all tge teams in the championship who have struggled season after season with huge resources. Derby have been here 7 seasons and look at Bolton, wigan, forrest.
Also, money does not always talk. Look at brum turning down 5 million from the cherries for gray. Wells to huddersfield for a million plus, may at wednesday, asombolonga at forrest, Rhodes at blacburn and McCormak at Fulham - all costly and rated but not doing the buisness.
This is why steve evans and tony stewart are the most important assets we have. They can build a club and a team that is more than the sum of its parts, just like bournmouth and brentford have and like crew do for long periods - boxing way above their weight.
It's possible with the right management and structure.

I have to agree there Ian, Togethernes, spirrit and a good Team can overcome the lack of funds, which like you say doesn't guarantee success. TS will get his head together with SE and come up with a new plan of action for the next battle in the Championship.
