Its a display of confidence and a positive mental attitude that is needed in what we could term a troubled time,
I just hope we get the vital results, but I stand by my opinion in that in order to do so we need to make drastic changes and secure some short term loans, such as becchio, et al, to gain a strong foothold in order to escape relegation
7 games with 5 at home against those around us - if we go down it will because of those and other missed opportunities i.e. our own doing. Pick our battles, and it will be the same next season & after next until we build, extend and fill NYS. I really think if we can pick up 12 points from those 7 games it will put us right on the finishing line. I've already predicted that the Norwich home game will be a 'the reds are staying up' party
In regards to the extension of NYS, I think we should establish a solid foothold in the championship first and foremost, Where we are competitive, mid tablers etc. If we went up to 20k and the attendances began to fall due to bad form, etc, I dread to think what 5000, would sound like in a 20k stadium
Then theres the safety issue, the concouses of the north, south and east stands
On the other hand though, if we didn't build and say out of a miracle one day we reached top flight, we'd be throwing valid profit away!
We all knew pre-season, from a sensible, level headed point of view, that this was going to be a season of survival. We all knew it was going to be hard and this final stretch till May is going to be the tester for us. Logically speaking, I think that we can pull off the right results we'll be sitting pretty (From a dogfight relegation perspective)
