Will steve go to Peterborough to be close to family?

Steve fields nearly 5 minutes of the same question on audioboo and fails to put it to bed.

Will he go?

Would you lose respect for him if he left before the end of the season?

Hmmmm ... will he go? ... I reckon there's every chance that he will, seeing as his family and home is situated down there!

Would I lose all respect for him? ... yes, definitely, just as I did for Mark Robins when he jumped ship and joined Barnsley!

Personally, I think that Steve's had an easy ride here at Rotherham with our Chairman backing him all the way, a luxury that no other Miller's manager has ever had, so for that he should be thankful and stay loyal, but are managers loyal? ... not very many!

Interesting rumour especially when the Millers are hovering just above the relegation zone and SE was allegedly going to bring in one or two players to bolster the existing squad.

I want Steve to stay and I think he will, but if he sees managing Peterborough as a step forward then let him go.

Managers will come and go. If Steve is genuinely interested in the Posh job, but ultimately doesn't take it for whatever reason I think it would be fair to assume as soon as a bigger Championship club came sniffing, he would be off out the door.

I wouldn't begrudge Steve a move to a big Championship club if the opportunity came along, but I would find it difficult to stomach if he settled for Peterborough, a club which is no bigger than us and currently a league below us. I think that sort of move would tarnish his relationship with RUFC

Just finished listening to TS on audioboom.

He seems somewhat underwhelmed with it all but makes it very clear he would not welcome any approach which effectively puts it to bed.

I don't know why but this story does have a feeling about it. It may be the connection to Barry fry, etc.

Maybe fry and evans just seem like two characters who will wheel and deal while TS seems very sincere.

Tony is a smart man. Don't believe rubbish rumours on the Internet. There is always a keyboard warrior wanting to make rubbish up.

We will be hearing Grey saying Wednesday are only looking up and not concerned about looking down at the bottom of the table next....oh hang on...he just did.

Sometimes you have to take a step back to move forward.........

Just saying not everyone see things the same, who knows what Posh will have to offer and what finances are promised?

I do hope Steve Evans is still here in 5 years time, he only will be here that amount of time if we are relatively successful biggrin

Maybe the wage structure that SE bangs on about is perhaps not good enough when it comes to the manager's wages.

Allegedly.

Will the rumour now turn into reality sooner rather than later?

The only way is up.

UTM!
