New Tuneful Transfer Policy

Now that the transfer window has slammed shut, it's perhaps time to relax and contemplate how we should target new players in the future. This coincides with a general call for Rotherham fans to be more vocal in support of their team.

How about we target players whose names fit easily into well known anthems thereby precluding the need to think up tunes and lyrics for new players? The rumours surrounding the potential signing of Joe Lolley got me thinking - he would of course be serenaded by the old 'Middle of the Road' song "Sole Sole".

I'm sure the imaginative minds on this site could recommend a few more potential signings to SE based on their lyrical value!

Exeter - you'd probably prefer this method of recruitment to the previous process!!

I don't think it takes much to improve it

If they want tips on how it should be done (TS & the board that is), I read a column on the BBC a while ago how Southampton go about their business.  OK we haven't the tools they have, but the ethos was totally correct.  A manager should not sit above everyone in the transfer process, development and all that, he's part of it.  Therefore when he gets sacked or resigns, its not back to the drawing board - the Chief Exec (or Paul Douglas), already knows and has e-fit the replacement candidates that goes in with the club ethos.  The ball keeps rolling.  Perhaps what we're doing wrong is actually above SE & PR's head ?

If I had a referenda I'd get some fella to eat lots of mozerella all over this world he'd eat it in boro and eat it in a pig sty but wouldn't catch that sammon fella.

I betcha that this fella would smell like citronella and the new York faithful would all wave their flagella, so get ready to roar he's coming to new York in a fancy car called le des ma.

If we had ledesma we'd win on a Tuesday win on a Saturday home or away. We'd hammer sheffield wednesday all over this land.

If we had ledesma we'd sing about freedom. We'd sing about more goals. We'd sing a song of championship football between all faithful brothers and sisters for one more reason he would save our season.
