The start of a potential 14-plus-hour shift for me today! Here's where we are at the start of transfer deadline day.

we have done well havent we?

brought in players that seem to be better than those gone and raised the team spirit 'to boot'.

can always up the quality, but where is it most needed?

can always make a case for another striker, nut what about central defense, or midfield?

I would think that Id be looking for another midfielder as both smallwood and green plus hamill and ward need more competition?

No news is good news. No point in bringing in just any player. Maybe an attacking minded midfielder?

Just heard that there is no news coming from the New York Stadium. Not sure if anyone is down there at the minute.

It's all still quiet in the West Stand. What's happening? Or rather, what is not happening? Come on SE give us a sign.

SE is  remaining tightlipped at the moment.

Way to go SE. Keep those cards close to your chest.

Evans confirms no new signings to be done this window, the two he was chasing he made improved offers over weekend but didn't materialise. wonder if the two were James and Ledesma?

Do you know what the last two games have given me confidence that the current group is good enough to stay up, the only worry would be at left back if/when fryers goes back. Hope the James rumour is true but its getting a bit late in the day now. We have added pace and quality out wide in Hamill and Hunt. Pringle & Morgan look back to their best, Derbyshire, Ward and Sammon have all got a recent goal which hopefully they will build on. What I'm saying is I won't panic if we don't sign anyone today.

Too true mate I think we have done some decent January business to be fair and improved the squad.  If I were Evans I would be focusing on getting James back on loan if we can't do a perm transfer for when Fryers loan expires.

We can only destroy it for ourselves, I think that has been a feeling all season.

How many times have we said 'should have got more from that', a opposed to 'we were never even in it' ?

Get in peoples faces, have no fear or regrets - if we plunge at least we can say we gave it a right good go.

Would be tough to take though knowing we're worse than Wigan and Millwall! - and after seeing Forest, wouldn't surprise me if they get sucked in you know - they were utterly awful

Tend to agree with the sentiments.

evo has improved on what we had and done a good job despite the sey back of losing james, ledesma, lawerence.

I would say that as it stands this current squad is better than at any point this season.

It's all settled now. And all to play for.

Tend to agree with this, too much messing around will only confuse things. Let's get a settled side, onwards and hopefully upwards.

I think it's a sign of the times. Football on the whole in the lower divisions cannot afford big deals, hence the lack of activity.

Unless you own a fish company in Thailand...
