So how many on that other site (and Exeter)

will be eating humble pie tonight?

Terrific performance and how Derbyshire didn't get MoM I will never know ... what a display, 2 assists and a screamer but not only that, his movement had their two centre backs in knots.  Pringle had a good game but Derbs was simply a different class tonight.  Also Smallwood was terrific in the middle breaking up everything Bolton had for 60 odd minutes, Morgan had a very solid game and was the pick of the defence for me.  But jury still out on Fryers, not sure we've seen the best of him ant the moment he isn't any better than Skarz but that is a small gripe in a bloody good and long overdue performance.  Had Bolton been 5 or 6 down before they got one back I don't think they could have complained.

I agree about Fryers, I think the jury is still out on him at the moment. However, I think your assessment of Derbyshire is a little over-generous. He played better tonight, no doubt, but he didn't particularly stand out as being better than Newton for example who I feel had a terrific game, or Pringle.

I predicted a 2-2 draw. That was woefully wrong.

But tonight it was if someone had flicked a switch on and The Millers flew into action.

Onwards and Upwards go The Millers!

My 3 2 win prediction was quite good but at 4 1 we would be above Leeds. Happy anyway

Yes I agree Newton too had a very good game.  But anyone who does not thing Derbs was MoM wants their bumps feeling.  That was a masterclass in forward play and while he tired towards the end and gave a a couple of sloppy balls away, he'd done enough in the previous 60 odd minutes to deserve the accolades that will come his way tonight.

I though Derbyshire was simply stunning tonight. He oozed class in every department.

He was on the verge of verges.

His running and hold up play was excellent and he displayed his control and how to strike a ball.

We should note how he made those goals by beating men for pace and guile. At last a striker emerges.

The rest were also very solid apart from the loss of concentration

Smallwood top notch and mores great and arnie saved the day with a superb tackle at 4-2.

Sammon gets a mention and pringle very good at times indeed.

I'm choking on it ! - I'm glad to say!

Don't know what happened this 10 days, squad soul searching? - clear the air meetings? - it's good to see the core of our contracted players playing, in the right positions, and giving them the expression to play. With the loanees 'complementing what we have.

Connor Newton has been way way way way overdue, got a feeling he's going to be a breath of fresh air.

SE needs to trust them more, they aren't U9's - lets keep with this 'let the other team be bothered by us' - especially at home, as that is where we amass the points to stay up.

It's as simple as this - we've got 9 home games, we need 7 more wins to stay in this league, playing like last night will get us more wins than not. Used in the correct cir***stances will also surprise some on the road, especially late on in the season with those fighting for play off spots etc.

Play like last night, with that ethos & it's far from over.

So not only are you lot dull you don't know your football either.

Zeki Fryers is a sensational player. I would sign him up now if we had half the chance.

Derbyshire was tremendous but so were many.

The midfield players were awesome and the amount of work they got through was remarkable.

Where did our counter attacking come from?....fantastic.

A couple of lapses from the defence with a finger pointing at the keeper for the second but thats life.

Newton looks like he has been playing for us all season...very impressed.

Surprising team selection with most of the new lads out!!...Evans never fails to surprise!

Well done to big Steve for keeping his nerve under the pressure put on him by the millersmad idiots...RS on radio Sheffield gave them a mention for their vitriol...what an embarrassing site that is.

More of the same from the lads and maybe mid table beckons.

looking at the table..that was a massive win for us.

Fryers looked a good player to me but clearly needs a bit more match fitness...plenty of pace so  would put him way ahead of Skarz.

Really?  I sit in the West stand just behind the away dugout and the lad was playing just feet away from me the entire second half.  He may have been OK in the first half but what I saw second half was a lad that faded very quickly, gave away the ball with a succession of loose passes and rarely got much further than the half way line.  Like I said, we may not be seeing the best of him just yet and he no doubt needs another game or two to get to full match sharpness and fitness, which is something we can't really afford on a short term loan.

Over to you Mr. Burglar how about justifying your "sensational player" comment rather than having cheap shots about other people's opinions.  I'm all ears.

No doubt you want the safe and totally predictable Joe Skarz back in his place , plodding up and down the pitch?

Zeki Fryers is a real talent and unlike this message board is 'exciting' to watch.

It doesn't matter where you sit in the stadium Fryers is quality and it is no surprise that his pace and positional awareness created space for Pringle to perform.

Pringle will continue to be be effective with a nippy left back.

Fryers is the man.

"No doubt you want the safe and totally predictable Joe Skarz back in his place"  No, where have I said that?  Maybe you are just trying to validate your feeble riposte by putting words into my mouth?  More cheap shots rather than any constructive analysis.

"Zeki Fryers is a real talent"  I'm sure he is, just not yet match sharp or fit enough to play like he did in first half for the full 90 mins.

"and unlike this message board is 'exciting' to watch"  Ha!  More cheap shots.  At least this board wont give your computer something nasty that can't get rid of.  You seem to be spending a  hell of a lot of time on here, you sure you're not a boring old fart too?

"It doesn't matter where you sit in the stadium Fryers is quality and it is no surprise that his pace and positional awareness created space for Pringle to perform."  No it doesn't but it does give you different perspectives at different times in the game.  As I commented in the second half he seemed to tire very quickly which impacted on his performance.

"Pringle will continue to be be effective with a nippy left back."  Couldn't agree more.

"Fryers is the man."  Not if he's only here for four weeks, but I sincerely hope so.

Me and my mate discussed him in the car home.

we both thought he has something to offer, but tired and was inconsistent.

He currently seems to be rated by us as between James and Scarz:

He is more adaptable than scars but not as much as James;

He is faster than either of them I think;

He is better positionally than James in defence but poorer going forward; but, scarz was better positionally in defense than both of them.

Overall, I am pleased with him and liken him more to Brindley, but with a tad more ability on current showing.

Wouldn't bother replying to the excitable burglar S8, he's after a rise i'm sure, anyway, totally agree about Derbyshire, and for me, he's been doing similar things in other games and not pulling stuff off, maybe different players with him made that difference. Enjoyed most of the player's performances last night, though for Friers, i thought 2nd half he was poor, not in a defensive way, but his distribution, 4,5,6 times he could've and should've kept rotating the possession only for him to hoof it.

Bizarre is an understatement.....

I must admit that I was a bit disappointed not to find any more so called revelations this morning

My mind is boggled by trying to go through what events can happen in a hotel room!

Lets hope it was more a "we were good" rather than "they were tired" scenario.

Follow this up with a win at Charlton and confidence will grow quickly
