I noticed TS comments this week about youth football and development and have to.praise him for raising this profile again and hope we see even more investment...
I am just in from taking my 7 year old to a local academy and it got me thinking:
What is the most important attribute in a young boys make up?
What makes a good coach?
What level of facilities are needed to give the youngsters the best chance of making it?
I saw my boy (and other) confused about many aspects of what they was asked to do. On the other hand he enjoyed the running and kicking about in the game at the end of the previous hours training.
nowt on telly, saw 3 kids having a kick about on the park. Had a kick about with them. One of them, a 12 year old black ikid really good. I asked if he had had trials. Yes for Rotherham. I got in but they kicked me out because my dad hasn't got a car.
What the hell? Surely if he is good enough someone can pick him up from brinny, imho he was good and I have reffed over 200 under 15 games.
