What's the moment of 'too much' (I can't take it anymore).

Have you had a moment where all the previous moments came to a head? You found that no matter what you tried nothing relieved the relentless pressure and you had to change something?

Should we expect pressure?

Is pressure necessary,  or is it all a product of poor self management,  or a creation of the modern delusion of personal power in a world that rewards hate and greed?

Sound advice from you both. But what is the sportsman/women to do when everything they do is reliant on Confidence?

Should they hide, seek help, or push on through and hope they can make it.

Take SE andTS for example. They must be under pressure and they must have moments of doubt..., real doubt. Do you confide in someone?

Interesting comments, Ian. I don't think it's time to play hide or seek. People do well by holding their nerve. Let's not forget one thing though. No one person is bigger than any football club be it coach or player. We have learnt that from history.  Football is a team game. All involved must either be singing from the same hymn sheet or rowing in the same direction. You get my drift?

If they wish to confide in me. Then they can e-mail me at proudorgrumpy@yahoo.co.uk .

I will only be too willing to offer them some insight into the beautiful game.

UTM!

It is a bit sad to read this and to think that we are partly responsible because we air our views on social media. For myself, I do not tweet or use face-book(to be honest I have no interest in them) ,but every time we criticise the team or the Manager on these boards we are adding to that pressure.Years ago we just talked to our friends and the people we were talking about were either non the wiser or did not care, whereas nowadays ,no matter what they do ,someone will find fault and happily rip them to pieces safe in the knowledge they will probably not have to answer to anyone.

Rant Over.hmm

I agree to some extent, but would say that players, and managers are fully aware of what the 'freedoms' of social media bring, and the criticisms that will invariably come from, even after wins, i think that they're taken for what they are by the players and generally ignored.

Millers Banter will probably take off at the expense of another footy mad board which appears to be in decline
