PROUD? OR GRUMPY? NEW FEATURE TO MILLERS BANTER BOARD.

What will your thoughts be today before, during and most especially after today's game against AFC Bournemouth?

Will you be feeling proud or just plain grumpy? Who knows what will happen?

For those of you who may be a little shy and prefer not to register on this board you can send your thoughts by e-mail to proudorgrumpy@yahoo.co.uk. I will place your comments on here soon after 6.00 p.m. tonight.

Here's hoping it's a win for The Millers.

Catch you later.

Andy

Definitely Grumpy before. I may be wrong but Smallwood & Green in the middle followed by nearly all of the front 4 being borrowed players who will go back, don't know each other from Adam - That smacks of desperation. As for cohesion - well we'll see at 4.45PM won't we?

I thought that we wouldnt get tonked again and the players would show a bit more fight so suppose that was what we got.

Im not too down on the result, the new Lads will take time to shine. Bournemouth are top of the league and playing everyone off the park.

All in all Im glass half full, so bring on the Trotters!

Evening, everyone.

Well, I'm overwhelmed. Your e-mails to the proud or grumpy inbox have been interesting.

Tiger Lily from Rotherham is feeling grumpy tonight. She says that she has had flu and The Millers defeat today has made her even

worse.

Sorry to hear that Lily. Get well soon.

Andy

Here's another e-mail from a Jimmy K

Jimmy is well and truly p****d off tonight.

Jimmy says that we need a proper winger who is able to fire the ball in from wide.

That's good to hear, Jimmy. But who is going to put the ball into the back of the net?

Here's another e-mail from a Jenny Tellsitall. Yeah, right.

Jenny is grumpy.

Jenny T says that The Millers aren't good enough as they haven't got a proven striker. No goals means no points.

Well, Jenny I think you have something there. The goals have certainly dried up.

The following e-mail is from a Burger Bill.

Bill says that his patience has now worn thin.

Burger Bill says that he has been watching The Millers for 'decades'. He reckons relegation is now looming large. He says that he sat in the front row in the West Stand this afternoon. The falling snow wet him through to his 'undercrackers'.

Sorry to hear that Bill. Hope you got home in one piece and you had a change of 'undercrackers'.
There's nothing worse than being wet and miserable and watching us being beaten again.

I think some of the moaning is justified. With one win in fifteen, I can't see where blind optimism will take us. Without doubt we have moved up the leagues very quickly and the journey is testament to Evans, Stewart and the players. Maybe we have moved too quickly and we are trying to run before we can walk in this league. Relegation wouldn't be a disaster, but having come this far, it would seem such a shame to blow it. That's what frustrates me the most.

Just had another e-mail from Tiger Lily. She feels quite famous now that she has appeared on Millers Banter.

Truth is Lily not many people are reading this site at the moment. And no, I cannot put you in touch with Jimmy K. I thought you said

you had just had the flu?

I'm sorry but this is not a dating site. Well, not just yet.

I agree Pod but some of the comments are cringeworthy no

Educated constructed critizm is fine but all out abuse isnt called for.  Some of the people should really engage brain before posting on social media  hmm Did they really think we would be winning every Saturday or something?

Obviously we would all take 4th from bottom at the end of the season but I think we can slowly pull away from the danger zone and finish mid table.  I have faith but it isnt blind faith,  its based on what I see and whats happening not knee jerk or irational  wink

Just had another e-mail from Jimmy K.

He says that he would like to meet Tiger Lily.

This thread is supposed to be called proud or grumpy. I appreciate your e-mails, Jimmy and Lily, but you need to sort out some kind

of arrangement between yourselves. I mean, how would you know that you would be suited to each other?

Just in, so missed your feature andy, but my companion said he sent you an email but u haven't read it yet. He's not a miller as such but he had been to nearly every game for the last 3 seasons.

Anyway, he has put the rest in the email.

As for me; unimpressed really.
Thought sammon and hamill looked ok and as always bowerys cameo looked good.

Apart from that some really worrying signs especially at the back and in that defensive midfield.

Collin has dropped significantly in confidence and Richardson was done for fitness time and time again. Many of the players just didn't click and although we have some better players it still does not look so great.

Of course it's yet another new team out there.

I'm sad ledesma and James have gone not to mention lawerence. Hammill and sammon are welcome but not sure about the others.

SE has to find that ability to get that ball behind defences somehow and enough of the time to make it count.

Our chances are often half chances and that's not the quality needed.

Against the middle order we have a chance of a draw and an occasional win, but as we all surely know by now it will be settled in the last few games.

What annoys me is the fact that we don't seem to attack balls into the eighteen yard box, not from corners, not from free kicks, not from Arnies long throws - we make it far too easy for the opposition. I wonder what the hell they work on in training? One thing you could say about Ronnie's team at this level was that they knew their limitations and so worked to get goals form set pieces and more often than not Macca and Swailes got something on the ball and a fair proportion ended up in he back of the net. If we don't have the guile to score from open play then you would think we would be breaking every sinew to make the most of the set pieces.

Quite worrying that in 14 of our league games so far we haven't scored a single goal - if it doesn't smack to SE what the problem is then that stat should hit him like a train - and just signing a goal scorer won't solve it!
