Ipswich v Southampton - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay - Millers Banter Matchthread - First Half

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Welcome to the first ever Millers Banter Matchthread.

I know it's not a Millers Matchthread. The above named game is also  being televised on BBC1. However, for those of you who would like to comment on the game  this is the place to add your comments as the match progresses.

Let's see if we can outwit the so called pundits on the telly.

Kick-off is at 19:55 HRS!

It's actually the 2nd effort, but fair play.

1-2

Mick McCarthy is relishing his Town side taking on Southampton in tonight’s third round FA Cup replay in front of the biggest crowd he has seen at Portman Road.

The BBC cameras are also showing the game live, with Saints arriving in Suffolk in third place in the Premier League after their victory at Manchester United at the weekend.

Ronald Koeman says his Southampton side must learn from their first meeting against Ipswich Town ahead of tonight’s FA Cup Third Round Replay.

Tough to call the result on this one. Will Alan Shearer ever let go of the pen?

Tyrone Mings for Ipswich Town! Six feet five inches tall in his socks! He's got to score a goal surely.
