I'm sensing some tension between him and TS for first time. The next home match may put SE on the back foot. I fear the fans will start to turn if Bournemouth wup us again
I was a bit disconcerted to hear Steve say he knew a striker was the priority but it was proving difficult because other clubs had millions to spend and we had three bob. That sounds particularly disparaging if not disrespectful of Tony Stewart given that Steve has always sung his praises and been quick to point out how much the chairman has invested in the club and backed his managerial decisions financially. It may be nothing more than an unfortunate choice of words but it did make me wonder if cracks were beginning to appear in what had hitherto been a particularly strong and mutually beneficial relationship. I certainly hope not because we need everyone pulling in the same direction at the moment.
