doestn the bank automatically cover it.

My bank (coop) gave me back 500 quid that was taken from a rogue website last year.

I just called em. They investigated and reimbursed me.

As far as I know they passed the details on to the fraud section, I logged it as a crime with local police. That was the end of its.

Hope you get sorted and get your money back asap m8

We have to be watchful where we use our cards or cards details these days.  I had my card cloned but the bank phoned to let me know before I found out! I narrowed it down to a petrol Station where I bought fuel from hmm

If I remember rightly if it is scanned it is only purchases of £20 or less that can be taken.

If it is duplicated then they should have your PIN number in order to use it.

Basically if the bank have paid out and it was not you, it is their fault so they have to compensate you.

In terms of the holiday insurance, you were insured against loss abroad, and you were in effect mugged so they should not be able to dodge it unless they specifically exclude online fraud.
