Scored 5 in 17 in a struggling Hartlepool side. Reading Hartlepool fans forum suggests he's a natural and excels going forwards but can be disinterested in tracking back and general defensive side of game.

All the goals he scored were classy. Just watched em all. Could be an exciting signing. Pity only for a month. Could be another bench warmer. Hope not.
Can't help but think this is purely because Doyle's bid got flatly refused and we haven't got the budget (or want to take the risk) on a bigger offer.
A one month loan does zero for us or him, like someone has said unless it leads to something else.
To say he can't even score for Hartlepool, fills me with no confidence, the fact he's from Leicester seems lazy and just smacks of panic. Why on earth is our scouting department so none existent.
Remember Alan Lee, rotting in Burnley's reserves, nobody knew who he was, he came on loan and hardly pulled up any trees, but we'd obviously done enough with him to see past that and sign him permanently - to become one of the best number 9's this club has ever seen.
Sorry, Barmby cannot do a job for us now. Disappointed though wish him well. Too young, too lightweight and too inexperienced. The complete opposite of what we need.
