What fee for Wooton? I wouldnt want to pay over the odds for him and if manure get a cut of the fee when leeds sell him on will leeds be wanting more than he is worth?

Revs, not prolific but does a job and Slade knows what he's all about. Cardiff have had money from prem so we could be in a good position to get value for money, if we let Revs go that is wink

Letting Revs go is a scary prospect, but he's not getting any younger so if a Cardiff type come knocking I don't think that can be ignored.  The obvious problem we have is getting a real target man in, and they aren't cheap.  Bowery filling this role is nothing short of laughable.

Wooton - not too fussed really, a bit Skarz like as full back, doesn't pull up any trees but neither does much wrong.  Can only think a worthwhile signing if he's going to play centre half where he's said to be most natural.  Which begs the question, if he's worth a fee playing there why hasn't he been tried there since Morgan & Arni are so berated publicly, and what if any benefit does he have over Wood or Broadfoot the former who is an accomplished CB at this level and did pretty well at Swansea (albeit 1 appearance)

It would be good to know what Wooton can do at CB before we paid out a fee for him??  Like you said Ex CB is where he is supposed to be more at home playing.  Is he to be brought in to eventually play at CB?

Like you also said whats the difference between Wooton and Wood/Broadfoot?

very good points you guys.

Wootton

must say I am not certain he is the best we can do, but he seems mobile and natural with a sort of Je ne sais quai, or I could be crap at spotting the obvious.

Revs

I kinda would like to keep him, but, if the fee is decent then I guess we need to move on due to age, but more in line with where RUFC need to go to next. Money would come in handful for other positions...?

Of course, it begs a question; can we do better? would we be getting rid of our key man?

Eion Doyle doesn't go away doers it? Maybe that is the risk we have to take. Calum Wilson would have been my choice but too late now of course. How much will Doyle be expected to fetch - anyone hazard a guess?

What about a player plus cash? Broadfoot, Derbyshire and Bowery?

I still like Derbyshire, and Bowery (maybe). I doubt they would want Broadfoot. He may be better than Morgs in the central position.

Revell nowhere near £400,000. No idea why Evans has come out and said that!
