It would be wrong to neglect to say we played quite well first half.
Second half we were sponge bob.
As Raynor said post match, ( Bournmouth) that's the blue print.
There were several players who simple did not perform, and I would include first half in that. It's not that some of these players aren't ok, but that's all they are.
There is simply no movement and zero ability to turn, beat a player and make the decisive pass anywhere on the pitch (Frecklington and young reece aside).
The quality of chances other teams create is in stark contrast to our stretching, sliding, over hit, too slow and backward play.

I was just wondering who I would take forward with me as I did a total rebuild in terms of ability to move the ball, make a tackle and take the game to the opposition. Smallwood is ok in the current crop. Just.
Is anyone even remotely surprised?
If AFCB is the blueprint, then we're a million miles away from it.
Evans is so out of his depth he's drowning. His summer signings have been nowhere near good enough, & I include them all. Now we face the problem of trying to attract players to participate in a relegation battle, so recruiting quality is going to be a problem, as is our wage structure.
Face facts guys, the "rollercoaster" is going to come off the rails come May!!!!
As soon as the draw was made I had a feeling that we wouldnt be going any further in the competition. The draw itself was so underwhelming, in respect to who we could have drawn???
Just put it down to experience, lessons learned and move on.
Yes some players arent good enough and need to be moved on but its not as simple as that. Other teams need to want them for a start and we need to replace them with better alternatives.
I cant help but think we arent playing to our strengths, Pringle on the right or anywhere other than on the left for example just doesnt work but he's been asked to do what he isnt best at so he's not going to shine. All this s hagging around with the Team hasnt seen us progress. I get that SE doesnt want to get tonked every week but balance that with whats got us where we are, hard work and attacking football. Let the players do what they have done well in the past, Frecks and Pringle seem to be stifled in this new setup.
Bournemouth are a class act, we knew that before we played them. Good luck to them, they play the right way and are a breath of fresh air to Todays Football.
I am in no way surprised. But I think it's the manner more than anything.
4 goals in 13 minutes is not acceptable no matter who you're playing - never mind Bournemouth's reserves.
I want some real honesty here, I want the management to come out and say our summer acquisition of players, players who we thought would help us compete in this league has abjectly failed. For such a catastrophic failure in bringing the 'right value' of players in - bigger things need to be at play surely?
1. Could we really not afford Tav's wages? - I'm sure that if we'd have sat him down the day after Wembley and said, you love it here, the crowd love you, stay with us and shine like you have and it won't be long until you're playing in the PL.
2. I think we all know we could have done more to keep Agard
3. Wes Thomas, while not the striking answer, would have bagged the same amount of goals Derbyshire, Bowery and JCH have all got between them. The former 2, up there with the worst signings we have ever made. That's 1 wage as opposed to 3 and god knows how much was signed in the cheque book and to agents to them here.
4. I don't know what the situation is with scouting but whoever said any of these players we've signed would cut it at this level want to retake their badges.
5. Whatever happened to the 2 players for every position mentality. Or has that turned to 11 people for 2 central midfield spots?
Like many have said, January is do or die for us. We must not go straight back down, that would do untold damage. We all know this league will be tough, but for goodness sake lets do it fighting. Despite being in a league above what we've seen this season is not, incrementally better (to quote the famous phrase), its turning into a disaster, one that will get worse when over the next 2-3 months we struggle to find points into the double figures mark. The initial surprise factor will have worn off, we've now been scouted and will get found out. Those better teams in this league will now give us the tonkings we should have duly received earlier and the ones the points we missed out will start to bite us in the bum.
Rollercoaster? - more like Oblivion unless there's some serious activity over the next 4 weeks
