First transfer rumour: Arnie to Blades

 Anyone else heard this?

It was from someone who I don't know very well so I can't say if it is reliable or not.

The opening post is the sort of thing that appears on Millersmad and has no place on here.

Anyone who thinks for one second that this idiotic suggestion is true must be utterly stupid.

I have also heard the Blades are interested in both Pringle and Arnie in exchange for Scougall.

If the rumours thing rears its head, I might setup a 3rd board just for that.  I'm not a fan of gossip, not to say it doesn't have a place but it's a bit tabloid for us MB broadsheeters ?biggrin

Agree ex. It prob does bring the tone down a bit. I guess unless someone has a real connection to the club then the rumour has a very short shelf life anyway.

What a dreary set you are.

Without gossip, lies, sarcasm and squabbles, all you will get is a sterile, drab message board which no-one will visit. I accept that abuse and nastiness and intimidation is uncalled for but you have to have some 'banter' and speculation on a site.

Just for the record, none of you read the opening post properly. I said I was unsure of the source. It was a chance conversation I had with someone I saw in Tesco, who I used to stand behind in the Millmoor days.. It may not be true but something is not right between Evans and Arnie. The Icelander,  has gone from here to zero in a the space of a month, in Evans' estimation.

I just hope this board doesn't turn out to be The Independent of message boards: balanced, informative, mature and dull.

Not at all. I agree Evans comments have been uncalled for. However, I think it is all "tough love" rather than falling out.

Evans knew Arnie was a Coup in League 2 so constantly praised him to the high hills in a hope he can keep hold of him from the vultures. Now Arnie has stayed and knows the way Evo works, SE is making sure his feet stays on the ground and he doesn't take his position for granted.

Evans has always said how negative Arnie is about his performances as he is a perfectionist. SE is probably using this to keep Arnie motivated and make him want to correct his Errors.

Take Revell on the other hand who is a massive confidence player. Evans will never criticize Revs as it would shatter his confidence, so instead keeps praising his hard work and forgetting about any misses he makes. Man Management, knowing your staff and how they react to feedback.

I can maybe see that working once or twice but not constantly.

I think  a managers who relies on publicly criticising players as a man management tactic will come unstuck.

Players aren't daft. They cotton on to motivation tactics and when they do they don't work.

He needs to motivate Arnie by giving him more influence.

Not sure Evo is humble enough to do that.

I visited Tesco yesterday at 12 noon . As I approached the escalator a member of staff infomed me that the tills had just crashed and so the supermarket was due to be closed down.

I did not know the Tesco member of staff. Was he just spreading rumours? I will never know as I just walked away and drove home.

UTM!
