Thanks zippy, very much appreciated especially when one can't get to games. The DW always reminds me of one of his sports shops from certain angles.

Looks like there was plenty of 'entertainment' put on with the band and singers.

Not been in the bar up there, looks nice. Be great if we could have a fans bar too, and not just a corporate affair.

Cheers Brad and Ian.

Pretty sure that Bar wasn't there last time we went, but the doorman told us there had been many many changes at the Ground since then (2005).

Massive inside and room for loads of people, something we could really do with at NYS for each set of fans.

Nice little touch inside the ground as well, with plates full of free Mince Pies on the tea bar counters.....food was good value as well, i had a Hollands Steak Pie and a Hot Chocolate for just £4.

I heard one or two moans about the pies bought inside the bar, but mine from inside the ground was spot on.

It was a 1914 remembered special day at Wigan so as you can see from my pictures, there was a brass band, and the Scots guards, we had a last post, epitaph and Reveille and a minute's silence pre-match, very moving.

The Blonde Lady was a modern day "Forces Sweetheart" Sarah Dennis who banged out a Vera Lynn style song.

The rather striking young Ladies biggrinbiggrin were a local band named The Piccadilly's, who did a great version of Silent Night followed by what i'm assuming was their new single (advertised in Programme) titled "Music Everywhere".

A real feel good day, for Millers anyway, and just the tonic we needed going into Christmas.

BTW, for those that don't know....the other little ground i took a couple of pictures of is the home of Wigan Robin Park of the North West Counties League, which is situated right next door to the DW Stadium.

I couldn't get much of a view from outside, but i managed a side view of the single stand and most of the pitch as i squeezed my arms and camera through the railings aww
