I may be out on a limb here as my mate still thinks he has something to offer and I'm being harsh, but for me he let down the team on a number of occasions today.
He was slow, weak, afraid and simply got in the way at times.
On the plus side he covers and links up well at times. However, that's nothing someone with more of the other qualities I mentioned couldn't do.
I think he is next to be dropped for a spell.

Prings could get pushed out unless he plays on the left where he is best suited, anywhere else and he loses his effectiveness. Pringle is Class, when he's allowed to do his thing on the Left Stick prings on the Right or anywhere else and he becomes average
Think he was ineffective today and seems to have had his nosed pushed out since Ledesma arrived. Agree, keep him on the left and he will continue to do a good job I think.
I can only recall one whipped in cross today and that was below his usual impeccable standard
I don't think he had his best game today, as for his whipped in crosses, well, we're playing differently now, so he drops it back to recycle the ball much more, which doesn't really help him because it takes away his particular skill, also, what's happened to his confidence in front of goal?, he had two or three chances to shoot when central today but didn't, last season he would've pulled the trigger.
Could've shoved Skarz on later and pushed James further up.
The problem is that when he did go left he was just as ineffectual as on the right due mainly to Ledesma who has seriously unsettled him.
Ledesma occupies his space because he is so fluid and roaming, and thus pringle has to go looking for scraps and then is to reduced to lay offs and watching ledesma take free kicks. Ledesma has asserted himself and I'm somewhat surprised pringle hasn't put up more of a flight.
Of course it's not just ledesma, it's the whole ability of the team as a unit seems to be leaving him behind. I know he always has the odd game where he goes missing and this was true in divisions 1 and 2, it's just his speed, strength and range of passes might not be there long term.
I guess im just wondering if I am noticing his demise. Thing is, if it's tactics he is in trouble anyway ( at least until new year).
I guess i think the new boys have just raised the bar and we are going to have to adapt in every position to stay in this division.
It's the 3rd game in a row pringle has looked (as you say) uncomfortable and I don't think it's down to anything other than Ledesma. SE will be watching and hoping pringle raises his game but I just think in seeing a guy who looks beaten at the moment.
Ledesma seems full of natural confidence but I think personality wise BP seems unsure how to handle him.
I have started to think that only smallwood, Arnie, morgan (perhaps) and Collin will be first choice from the old guard come mid January.
I know it's a wider point, but SE has seen it (the new shape and skill set) now and he doesn't hang about usually.

I thought he played well. Ledesma drifts out of the game too much for my liking and as for the diving - it's a complete joke. There is no way Ledesma should be taking set pieces. He's not a patch on Pringle.
We all know Pringles strengths. Don't complain about him not whipping balls in the box. Time and time again he looked to cross just to see no one in the box. We are far too negative at the moment and we need to replace Green with someone more attacking and get some bodies in the box.

Facinating as always to hear someone with a totally different point of view.
I do see what your saying but I'm just starting to think the pace and power will be his undoing this term.
Agrees ledesma loses focus but Deffo can't agree re green though it's a decent point re the need for a midfielder with purpose; he is a Deep midfielder as is smallwood and I wonder like you if the balance is right.
Agree, though we have drastically changed our starting 11 and shape we are still slightly too negative.
Thought he did OK and could have had a goal with a bit more composure and a little luck. SE has given him that free role in middle to try to 'make things happen' which is a lot of pressure for the lad and means that he has to work extra hard to get up and down the pitch which is why he ran out of steam in the second half. It may take him a couple of games to find his feet in the role but he's still a talented lad and should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

I think you nailed it there S8 m8
The thing is getting Prings into the Team where he can produce the goods, maybe the transition will come given time, I hope so because I love Prings and what he's done since SE gave him the chance
I also thought not his best game. I said we should have taken him off at half time for Taylor. You can't have a great game every week. I also said revs off (im a big fan) and bring Bowery on but not for the last 3 mins and not on the wing. I would have thought that for minutes played and goals scored Bowery must be well in front. I really am starting to like this guy. Speed, strength and he CAN finish.
