Couldn't help but feel the parallels: both teams excelled last season; huge individual contributions (agard/suarez); both teams lost them; both brought in a bag load of new signings that don't feature consistently; and top signings (strikers-balotelli/bowery, et al.) Don't start strongly and don't get picked; midfield options not used; isolated front man is preferred and fear characterised by defensive set up; curious decisions regarding style of play given level of opposition the respective teams play at.
Now that SE seems to have undergone a radical tactical lobotomy, will we see Rodgers process proceed in the same fashion...and if he does does this mean SE is the more attuned manager?
