One of the best keepers we've had in a long time (Bar Warrington in his first season) probably since Mike Pollitt, and before that, Matt 'The Cat' Clarke?

Im not sure about how good he is in comparison to past keepers.

He has too many mistakes in him still.

While I agree he needs a full season at championship first to prove he isn't a one season wonder. But let's not forget, I seem to remember Pollitt was an excellent shot stopper but permenantly glued to his line. Would not collect a single cross. Collin to me is a well rounded keeper. Good shot stopper, good communication with defence (Blackpool aside) and isn't scared of coming off his line. There hasn't been many keepers I've felt confident in while watching the millers. In fact, I could probably count them on one hand. Collin is solid enough for me to not worry about him, which to me is a compliment.

You know how confident you feel when someone else steps in their shoes. When Loach has come in I've been nervous, I never even think about it when Collin is named in goal, attentions turn to the blummin 4-5-1, width, pace, striker, no goals issue. And - to be fair, and stats don't lie, we ain't half bad as a defensive unit, bar the odd individual errors. It's going forward that is, and always has been the issue. SE going on about the back line and goals we concede, individual errors or performances etc that he has done, is merely deflecting attention from the abject failure of our attacking line, which in turn directly attacks the summer player acquisition.

That's a fair point well made.

You're right about pollitt.  Hopefully then Collin has his best years still to come.
