Play the ball simple, it's not too difficult. Is it?

So much negativity on another board about The Millers chances today. It is not the end of the world. We are due for a win. We have played 400 minutes with a mixture of long ball interspersed with football without scoring a goal.

Revs will never score any goals from the halfway line. He needs to be fed the ball either to feet or head when he is nearer the opposition goalmouth.

The opposition must be wetting themselves when Revs challenges for the ball about two thirds of the way up the pitch and he heads the ball on into the usual empty space. The opposition then collect and play the ball to feet into our half of the pitch with more creativity and composure.

Will Revs score a goal ever again?

Yes, he will. Will it be today?  The odds are in his favour. But he may well be involved in more assists.

Enjoy the game.

I think Stevie reads this board. More ball played to feet today. Revs did not start. We had two good chances in the first three minutes. I heard some people moaning at half time. The same people spouting the same bile.
'There's no pace up front', they bleat no

They sound like one of the parents of some young kid playing Sunday football.

'TRISTRAM, GET THE BALL! TRISTRAM GET THE BALL! HEAVENS ABOVE WHY'VE YOU STOPPED RUNNING? FLAMING NORA I COULD

DO BETTER MYSELF!'

'WHAT WAS THAT?'

'WHAT'S THAT?'

'OH, IT'S HALF TIME.'

no

Did here some people getting rather angry towards the end, and the booooooos of course. I was very surprised. Not sure what it was. perhaps expectations, or simply the late goal-always a very bitter pill...

Guess some were thinking of the last two 'must win' games and adding up the loss, and wondering where the next 3 points are coming from. I understand that, but not the lack of support for what was a much improved performance.

The bit that got on my nerves was when it was 1 1 and the very same people who were moaning about hoofball were shouting for a hoofball up to revs when the team were actually playing 'the right way'. Beggars belief.

I still fail to see what booing constructively achieves. People have a right to protest I suppose, but it does little for morale or performance improvement I would imagine.
