By the way, the Mrs has just been having a peek over my shoulder and says it looks really good and whoever has done it has obviously done a lot of hard work on the site. She likes the layout and says it looks "Clean" and its a good idea to have the topics split in that way so if she could have had a vote then she would have voted the same way

That might be the impression but this image tells a different story.
(ignore today's drop as we're only half way through!)
I think it's more down to the fact we've had the international break, we need the lads to be playing, obviously it's still vey early days on here, made more difficult now there's a blanket ban on MM not to talk about us
My own view although some disagree is that one of the great strengths of the MM site was displaying together the football posts and off topic.
Separating the two discourages people from taking part in off topic debates and this is what we will find is already happening on here...my opinion of course.
Some would counter and say a football site is a football site end of...I disagree.A site that is exclusively dedicated to RUFC will not flourish as there will not be enough topics to stimulate interest through the week.
There is a temptation to think...'well, this is not MM this is millersbanter so lets slash and cut with a big knife and make drastic changes'
Personally I would prefer fine dissection with a surgical scalpel and get rid of the bad bits of MM but dont be afraid or too proud to keep the bits that helped MM to thrive for many years.
For this site to thrive we need to encourage football views and off topic views from RUFC supporters..the two should live together in a beautiful symbiotic relationship not separated like a couple falling out of love.
This site needs to attract more people over from the MM site and some of the Off Topic boys over there are indeed 'big hitters'...and we need them here.....trust me!

I agree with this, if indeed there is a big reduction in new members / posts / views then as a community we will need to act
