The fixture from a political perspective

The fixture as seen back in April 2014 with great pics and video.

12 interesting facts from previous encounters.

The fixture is already drawing doom and gloom predictions. Could we ever play each other on a regular basis without too much aggro?

Is the spectacle worth the worry and potential aggro?

Well the game was certainly worth it from an English point of view and it will silence the Scots for a while after their good recent form!

Back down to Earth with a BUMP!   biggrin

Yeh i thought we were well worth the win, played well albeit against a side not as good as us. We have some exciting talent in that England squad now, if Woy can gel them and play the right game plan we might just be looking at a very good squad coming together.

PS, We've been here before though haven't we!!

I think it just highlights the gulf between nations and reflects national trends to a large extent.

within the top tier of nations, perhaps the top 10-15 there is little to choose, with the top 2-3 always significantly better.

Scotland historically occupy the middle order of the 130 (approx) nations. It has never been any different for significant periods of time. This same trend is reflected in leagues up and down the world. This is why it is always amazing when a club breaks out of its historical trend to establish something new.

In league terms for example its the gulf between the championship and League 1.

It is the technical ability combined with athleticism that we are seeing down at NYS most weeks compared to last season.
