To say he's played out of position, at left back and right back and now played at his prefered position of CB then he shows that he is versatile and able to offer cover anywhere along the back four.
I know he's no World beater but he's worth having for cover, but for how long he is prepared to be a bit part player and how happy he is to do that is the question? He had a wobble at the start of the game at the sty, he got a quick Yellow card but managed to have a good game where many thought he wouldnt last theuntil full time.
Its going to be a battle to get a starting berth at CB when Arnie and Morgs are fully fit but he has a part to play giving competition for the position and to offer back up as and when needed in Defence.
I am prepared to be wrong on this one, but I dont think he has let us down. He had one or two performances at right back where he got slated, but I think it was hugely bias. He was all full on commitment and did more than his fare share of helping out in central defense when Morgan had to go over to cover for Arnie. Not to mention his (albeit treading water impressions) his tireless running and link up play down the right when attacking.
give the guy his due. He does very little wrong in terms of attitude and reading of the game and his bravery is a great plus.
Broadfoot is a steady, versatile player - he's never going to dislodge Arni or Morgan at centre back but he does have worth in the team while ever he can cover all the positions across the back. If he wants regular football though, it would probably be away from Rotherham in my opinion.
Hopefully nailing down a first team spot at Bury with a bit of luck!
Only kidding,He might surprise a few if he got a decent run at centre half but in my mind Woods is in front of him if fit and i can't see any of them dislodging Arnie or Morgs at this moment in time.
